The artist’s family is originally from Albania and moved permanently to Greece when his father was 20 - but it wasn’t his father’s first time there. At 14, he and his friends walked from Albania to Kozani, where they were warmly welcomed by locals. It was the first time they felt that a foreign place could offer a sense of home and hope.

Through his artwork, the artist sought to depict his father's memories. The grey tones reflect his father's emotions, while the flowing water evokes a nostalgic mood - allowing him to express more through his art.
