Trapped
This work, oil and oil stick on canvas, depicts three figures entangled in each other, trapped and "drowning" in a box, in a narrow space framed by an enclosed garden that in the Renaissance depicted a fertile, pleasant place. These bodies try to free themselves and find themselves in this garden, but they fail.
Through the tension in their movements, the artist conveys a series of questions: What do they feel? Where do they want to go? Why don’t they leave this "safe" place? Is it truly safe, or simply familiar? And what if they don’t belong here? These reflections guided her creative process, emerging through the body expressions of the figures.
